This reunion really began, for me, with being reunited again with my big brother. My girls adore their Uncle John, and demonstrated this by pelting him with cascarones (that's eggshells filled with confetti, y'all).

Uncle John repelled this unprovoked attack and answered with a brutal reprisal.
This isn't over...
Later that week, we're on our way to San Antonio. Of course, we had to get a group to hike over to the shrine of Texas freedom, the Alamo.
Here was a typical scene in Cherie's room, also known as the Hospitality Room. We had some uproarious times there that weekend. In this photo we have: Kim, George and Steve Stillwell, Kevin Kobayashi, John Bishop, Jeff Madison, Rodney Lockett, Julie Madison and Lovell Sevilla. People filed in and out all day and night.

Sushi! More Zama folks start showing up. Here we have two Z-boyz, Mike Honecutt and Steve Miller. They're already cracking me up with their highschool-boy antics.

Mike's wife, Susan and Rodney Lockett.
It was thrilling to see Rodney again after all of these years. Hearing tales of his long journey back to be among his old friends really grabbed my heart. Good to see you again, buddy!
Cherie Cole, Joey San Augustine, Maria Marbois, Craig Beaudry.
Another guy from outta the woodwork! Walt Loonam!
Kimmie is freakin' out like the rest of us.

The veterans of the Zama Baseball team. Rob Myslinski, Jeff Madison, John Bishop (a.k.a. Mr. ZHS 1982)
Some class of 84 punks. Me, Scott Pilgrim, Joey San Augustine.
Alright! Class pictures!
Class of 83!
Class of 84!
Yeah, there were some other classes there, but I neglected to take their photo...
Some of us retreated to the Hospitality Room before heading out to Polly Esther's for dancing and fool-making. We had to fire up the vintage Space Invaders Part II tabletop game!
Honecutt's kid (Sarah) can see the appeal of this old classic.
Now for the old masters...
Onward to Polly Esthers. I'll just let the pictures do the talking. Be prepared for a lot of my "self-portraits"...

The rest of the night was a bit of a blur, but I'm sure it involved a somewhat wobbly path back to Cherie's room for some more hanging out with old friends, looking at old photos, space invaders and cold biiru.
The next day's activities were bowling, Tex-Mex and KARAOKE.
Oh brother!
